Cosmo's Fun Fearless Life Event

Hi Ladies & Gents,

I hope all of you are having a great week! Can you guys believe we are heading into February?! I am actually ready for next month because its NYFW. I'm so excited that I will be going this year since I was away in September and wasn't able to attend. I can’t wait to bring you my coverage on street fashion and the shows I will be attending. I may even do a vlog for my YouTube chanel so you guys can see what goes down so stay tuned for that.

So let’s get down to this post. I had the opportunity to attend the Cosmo Magazine Fun Fearless Event in November and I can tell you it was a fun event. There was fashion and inspiration all packed into one event.
The speakers included industry-celebs like Cosmo Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles, Kelly Osbourne, Gabrielle Union, Nasty Gal’s Sophia Amoruso, Sara Blakely of Spanx, and many more.  The day was full of motivational speeches and interesting panels that were pretty cool to watch. There was a Maybelline makeup counter where they were giving mini makeovers and the Express pop-up store was an awesome touch as well. I scored a cute clutch with a battery charger for my phone, which I end up ripping open to charge up my phone.lol.

I can honestly go through each speaker but honestly to feel each story you had to be there. I can tell you the one that inspired me the most was Sara Blakely. Her story really challenged me to fight for what I want when it comes to my dreams because all it takes is one person to believe in you. She was pretty funny too, she joked that she's probably the only woman on the planet who is grateful for her cellulite, since it was the inspiration behind her billion dollar idea company "Spanx". I truly enjoyed her segment.

Overall it was a great event but I was a little disappointed that there weren't really an opportunities to network which I feel is so important as a blogger. During breaks it was just a whole bunch of scrambling around to get some food or figure out who were just fans of Cosmo vs industry people. Regardless, I had a fab time and was even featured on Cosmo's website for best street style.

Check out some pictures below of what I wore for both days of the event and some pictures of the event itself. Stay tuned for some cool events for the month of February.

Dreaming Of Spring

Dreaming of Spring

I honestly wish it was Spring right now because this New Jersey weather is killing me. I'm currently trapped in my home and as much as the snow looks  pretty all I keep dreaming about are pretty pastels and Spring weather.
When I think of Spring I think of birds chirping and pastel hues. After the holidays spring fashion starts to creep back into our lives and as NYFW approaches I start to decide what are my must haves for the next season. I usually start off with updating my accessories because you can add your wardrobe around key items.

If you can't tell by now I like to splurge when it comes to my accessories, the reason being is I feel you can add a top from forever 21 or H&m and look like a million bucks. I think you can tell a poor quality shoe from a mile away verses a less expensive top or blazer. I cant count how many times I have worn an outfit from Forever21 with lets say my Celine bag and people asked me “where did you get that top?” and I reply “Forever21” the faces are priceless. Point being you don’t have to go crazy spending money on your wardrobe if you have some good quality accessories.
Now I know for some of you its just not in the budget to purchase a pair of Christian Louboutin shoes so I did add some less expensive items, but still pleasing to the eye in my wish list. If you still dream of that nice accessory, you can do what I do and take $20 a week and put it aside, by the end of the year you will have close to $1000 and that can purchase that item of your dreams.

From backpacks, cross body bags, fedoras, over sized sunglasses and more, all these items are must haves in my closet for Spring. I hope you guys like this little quick glimpse into Spring and make sure to stay warm if you are on the North-East like myself and for all you West Coast people Ill see you next month.

Peace & Love

Color Rebel (Redken)

Hi Ladies & Gents
Have any of you thought about doing something drastic to your hair like dying it blue like Kylie Jenner, but were to afraid on how it would look or couldn't because you work in a corporate job, like myself...well fear no more because I am excited to bring you Color Rebel by Redken. The color trend is taking over this year and this is a perfect way to stay in trend without the commitment. I had the opportunity to test  two stylish shades of Redken's Color Rebel hair makeup so I can create a fun stylish look. I chose to use the Red-y to Rock True Red because I felt it would pick up better with my hair color. I chose to go subtle because once again I have a corporate job and didn't want to go to crazy. I have to be honest I was a little nervous on how it would turn out but was very happy with the results. What do you guys think? Would you dare to be a color rebel? Hope you guys enjoy this post, stay tuned for some more beauty tips I have been using and check out below a step by step on how I achieved my look.

HOW TO USE
You can use Color Rebel to achieve the look you want in just a few easy steps.
1. Prime the product by shaking well and twisting the cap in the direction of the arrows until the tip is saturated.
2. Apply Color Rebel to clean or day-after hair by gently pulling sections taut and applying in a smooth sweeping motion. Start with a light layer – you can always add more to build color intensity.
3. Simply let hair air dry or blow dry for faster results. Keep combing or brushing to a minimum after applying as this will break up the color pigments.
For a more subtle effect, dispense just a drop of product on the sponge tip applicator and use longer sweeping motions to apply the color in one thin layer to a smaller section of hair. Gently comb or brush each section to break up the color pigments.
Love the color!

Color Rebel washes out after two shampoos, but if you want to remove instantly, you can do so in two easy ways. Simply wash hair with Redken Hair Cleansing Cream or apply a drop of Redken Diamond Oil Shatterproof Shine or All Soft Argan-6 Multicare Oil to the area where you would like to remove the color and rub the hair between your fingers until the color pigment dissolves
Once the color was dry I combed out and re-curled my hair.
